We’re partnering with Google to find innovative individuals to join their world-class engineering team in Krakow, Poland. This is an exceptional opportunity to dive deep into the Android ecosystem and contribute to critical emerging areas.

As a Software Engineer with Google in Krakow, you’ll be heavily involved in a wide range of mobile-related development, including Android Automotive, Wearables, kernel-level engineering, and machine learning integrations for Android devices. On top of that, teams in Poland also contribute to crucial emerging areas like Privacy Sandbox and Google Kubernetes Engine. You’ll tackle massive-scale challenges, evolving and growing as Google continues to push technological boundaries.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop robust product and system code.
  • Diligently review code, ensuring top-notch quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
  • Lead or actively participate in technology design reviews.

About you

We’re looking for versatile engineers who are passionate about solving challenging problems and have a proven track record in software development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Go, Rust).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • You identify as having a disability, neurodivergence, mental health, or long-term health condition. (This includes, but isn’t limited to, dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism, ADHD, visual impairment, hearing impairment, diabetes, epilepsy, depression, anxiety disorders, and any other physical or mental health conditions).
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice to have qualifications

  • For Android Automotive roles, 1 year of experience with Android application development.
  • For system-level roles, experience with operating systems and low-level programming (e.g., C, C++, Rust).
  • For engineering productivity roles, 2 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).
  • For Google Kubernetes Engine roles, 2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks.
